My name is Théo Demanez, I am 18 and I live in the French West Indies, Saint-Martin island, neighbor with Saint Barthelemy. My parents manage a windsports school, Wind Adventures which is the Saint-Martin Vela center, located on Orient Bay.  I have spent all my childhood near the sea between my home and the club so I could naturally get interested in these activities.

As long as I can remember I have been on the water, at first sailing on a catamaran and then windsurfing

When I was about 5 I started to fly kites on the beach ; as I was too young and not strong enough to kitesurf, I surfed, body boarded, kayaked and windsurfed. When I was around 8 I took my first kiteboarding steps, I started my firsts kitesurf rides, since then I spend all my free time on the water. I used to do a lot of twin tip, and then involved myslef a lot into strapless and foil, and that's what I love the most !!

In winter I am lucky enough to go the Alpes to ski and snowboard, I haven't tried snowkite yet but it won't be long before I do.

My favourite spot is of course Orient Bay but I also like to ride around Anguilla and Sandy islands. When there is no wind, I enjoy to go to Saint-Jean on Saint-Barth island to paddle.

Damien Leroy came to the caribbean to take part in a kitesurfing cruise organised by the Vela center, I was able to join the cruise for a few days. The last time I saw Damo I was maybe 4 or 5 so he saw a big change in me !
